Workshop inspired by Yusuke Asai’s “yamatane”

Words & Art Workshops

In the Words & Art writing workshops, we meet and write in the gallery.  I introduce the art, provide writing prompts for individual writing time and facilitate group discussion.

Workshop inspired by Dinh Q. Le’s “Crossing the Farther Shore”

Beginning to Write

It can be a little intimidating to write about art. How do I write about this? Where do I begin?  With the workshops, I provide a space where people can talk about the art, get familiar with it and hear other people’s perspectives so the whole writing process is more accessible.

Inspiration can begin simply. You don’t have to start out with a big idea or metaphor, you don’t even have to know where you’re going. You just have to observe and be curious.
